Job Description:

We are pleased to share an opportunity for the position of Head – Retail Sales & Operations with a well-established 100+ year FMCG/Dairy brand.

Role Overview:

The position involves leading multi-store retail operations, driving sales performance, ensuring smooth store functioning, managing staff, monitoring inventory, and delivering excellent customer experience across all outlets. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and proven experience in retail management.

Detailed Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Performance

  • Develop and execute retail sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.

  • Monitor store-wise sales, customer footfall, and profitability.

  • Analyse sales data, trends, and challenges; implement corrective actions.

  • Drive brand visibility and ensure consistent customer experience.

2. Store Operations Management

  • Oversee daily store functioning, SOP adherence, and operational efficiencies.

  • Ensure all outlets maintain cleanliness, product quality, and visual standards.

  • Monitor shrinkage, wastage, and operational discipline.

3. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Track stock levels, product movement, and expiry management.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and production teams for timely replenishment.

  • Implement inventory control measures to avoid shortages and overstocking.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and manage store managers and frontline staff.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and productivity monitoring.

  • Build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer focus.

5. Customer Experience & Issue Resolution

  • Ensure prompt handling of customer complaints and feedback.

  • Maintain high satisfaction scores through service standards and staff training.

6. Compliance & Process Control

  • Implement company policies, safety and hygiene norms, and operational SOPs.

  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance across all outlets.

  • Work with cross-functional teams on marketing, promotions, and product launches.

Location: Mumbai

Experience Required: 8–10 years (including 3–4 years in a similar leadership role)

Shift Timing: Any 9-hour shift between 8:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Working Days: 6 days a week (1 rotational week off)

Key Skills: Retail Sales, Store Operations, Team Management, Inventory Control, Customer Service Excellence, Sales Analysis, CRM/POS, SOP Compliance, FMCG/Dairy experience preferred
