For the position of Executive – Plant In Charge

engaged in Engineering, Procurement, Designing, and Construction & Consultancy services

Designation: Executive – Plant In-Charge
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical / Environment)
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years, including at least 1 year of experience in O&M
(Operations & Maintenance)
Age Range: 25–30 Years
Location: 40 MLD Jodhpur Site
Reporting To: O&M Manager
Offered Package: ₹4.5 LPA – ₹5.5 LPA

1. Job Overview
The Executive Plant In-Charge will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations,
preventive & corrective maintenance, manpower supervision, and smooth coordination
with the client (Jodhpur Municipal Corporation) at the 40 MLD STP Plant. This role ensures
uninterrupted plant operation, compliance with treated water quality parameters, safety
adherence, and timely documentation.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Plant Operations & Maintenance
 Supervise daily plant operations to ensure optimum process performance.
 Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities of all plant equipment
including pumps, blowers, motors, valves, electrical panels, DG sets, and other
utilities.
 Maintain equipment uptime and reduce breakdown frequency by timely
troubleshooting.
 Monitor STP process flow, aeration, sludge handling, chemical dosing, and other
operational parameters.
 Maintain proper records of breakdown maintenance, spare consumption, and plant
logbooks.
B. Process Monitoring
 Ensure continuous monitoring of inlet and treated water quality parameters.
 Assist in sampling and testing as per defined SOPs and regulatory norms.
 Review process data from SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems; take corrective actions
where necessary.
 Support process optimization to meet treated water norms prescribed by statutory
bodies.
C. Client Coordination
 Act as the primary communication link between Jodhpur Municipal Corporation
officials and the BEIL O&M team.
 Attend client meetings, provide operational updates, and handle daily
communication professionally.
 Ensure timely submission of plant operation reports, compliance documentation,
and data summaries.

D. Billing & Documentation
 Prepare and follow up monthly billing statements with the client for approval and
payment.
 Maintain all O&M records including daily operation reports, maintenance logs,
manpower deployment sheets, and statutory compliance documents.
 Ensure accurate and timely data entry in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
E. Manpower Supervision
 Supervise operators, technicians, helpers, and contract manpower working at the
plant.
 Assign daily tasks and ensure their timely completion.
 Monitor and maintain discipline, safety compliance, and workforce efficiency.
F. Safety & Compliance
 Ensure adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage inside the plant.
 Ensure equipment isolation (LOTO), safe maintenance practices, and emergency
preparedness.
 Report unsafe conditions, near-miss incidents, and breakdown events immediately.

3. Required Skills
 Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) for reporting and documentation.
 Basic understanding of PLC, SCADA, and HMI operation for monitoring plant
controls.
 Knowledge of P&ID diagrams and ability to interpret system flow paths.
 Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical/mechanical systems.
 Good verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.

4. Specific Knowledge Required
 Preventive & corrective maintenance practices for STP/ETP plant equipment.
 Operation and process knowledge of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
 Basic water treatment parameters such as BOD, COD, TSS, pH, DO, MLSS, etc.
 Understanding of safety procedures and plant utilities.
