Job Title: Business Development Head – OEM Segment (Automotive Lighting)

Industry: Automotive Lighting (Tractors, Construction Equipment, 2-Wheelers, Passenger Vehicles)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Head to lead and grow the OEM segment in the automotive lighting sector. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in business development and sales, specifically within the tractor, construction equipment, 2W, and passenger vehicle segments. You will play a pivotal role in establishing strong relationships, driving strategic business growth, and leading a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) across various segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. RFQ Management:
    • Proactively generate and secure Request for Quotations (RFQs) from OEM customers in the tractor, construction equipment, 2W, and passenger vehicle segments.
    • Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure timely submission and follow-up on RFQs.
  2. Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within OEM customers.
    • Build a network with customers in various OEM segments to ensure a continuous pipeline of business opportunities.
  3. Strategic Thinking:
    • Drive the business by aligning strategic plans with organizational goals.
    • Identify and explore new business opportunities within the automotive lighting industry, expanding the company's market share.
  4. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) across different segments.
    • Set team objectives, provide guidance, and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  5. Business Development:
    • Execute business development plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue in the OEM automotive lighting industry.
    • Ensure continuous growth and development of the OEM customer base.
  6. Communication & Negotiation:
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence and convince customers.
    • Lead contract discussions, pricing negotiations, and closing of deals.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 15+ years of proven experience in business development in the automotive lighting sector.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience with OEMs in tractors, construction equipment, 2-wheelers, and passenger vehicles.
  • Networking: Strong relationships with key players in the OEM industry.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of BDMs across various segments.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to align business strategies with long-term organizational goals.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
