Engineer E&D

Job Summary:
Engineering and design professionals will have the opportunity to work on innovative designs and cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Create design drawings using SOLIDWORKS CAD and simulation software, following internal design standards
- Visit suppliers for queries and technical presentations as required by business needs
- Prepare BOM estimates, cost analysis, and techno-commercial offers for customer submission
- Lead team discussions to address technical queries and speed up submission processes
- Lead brainstorming sessions with the team to create cost-effective designs and feasible manufacturing processes for both existing and new products
- Communicate and discuss designs with production and planning teams as required
- Identify and assess potential cost-saving projects, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and seek project approval from relevant authority
- Collaborate with suppliers, CFT teams, and the design team to propose and implement cost-saving improvements
- Prepare detailed component drawings and verify assembly relationships using CAD software
- Ensure accurate BOM and assembly drawings for the execution team
- Issue work orders, coordinate with execution teams, external parties, and the quality team to ensure timely and qualitative production
- Lead kick-off meetings to review specifications, procedures, and design concepts before production
- Monitor and track design changes to ensure effective implementation and minimize errors
- Ensure the team is updated on new manufacturing techniques and drawing standards
- Maintain and update a comprehensive knowledge database for design guidelines, product issues, and technical references
- Prepare and implement plant-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, working with the CFT team
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances
- Drive internal and external non-conformance analysis and propose CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Prepare and review monthly MIS reports to track progress towards departmental and individual goals
- Ensure design data is securely maintained, updated, and easily retrievable
- Develop and update procedures and check sheets for design errors and department processes
- Track NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure improvements are documented
- Prepare monthly MIS reports to track alignment with departmental goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
