Service Engineer (Mechanical Valves)
Job Description:
This role involves overseeing the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of valve systems at customer sites. The individual will also provide technical support, training, and continuous feedback to improve system performance. A strong focus is placed on ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Valve Installation & Commissioning:
- Supervise the installation and start-up of valve systems and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and customer requirements.
- Conduct initial testing and troubleshooting to ensure performance.

Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of valve systems.
- Address mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting valve performance.
- Carry out repairs and replacements as needed to minimize downtime.

Customer Support & Training:
- Provide on-site technical support and guidance to customers.
- Train customers on valve system operation, maintenance, and care.
- Offer solutions for improving system efficiency based on customer needs.

Technical Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed service records, including reports, logs, and schedules.
- Document service activities, issues, and resolutions.
- Submit detailed reports to customers and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Feedback:
- Provide feedback to engineering teams on product performance and potential improvements.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies and industry standards.

Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety standards and company policies during service activities.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and quality regulations.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or diploma degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in valve system maintenance, installation, and servicing.
- Experience in field service or technical support, particularly in industries like oil & gas, water treatment, or industrial manufacturing.

Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in valve operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.

Certifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications in valve systems or maintenance.
