Billing Engineer

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE:
- Preparing bills for payments and performing the estimation of quantities along with order of
materials
2. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Study the approved drawings
• Verify the work done is as per the drawings
• Visiting site to assure the work is done appropriately and as per the design
• Prepare measurement sheet from onsite data & drawings
• Prepare bill of quantities & bills with rates from Tender
• Analysis of rates of Non BOQ items
• Coordinate with Project Head to assure extra material has been used or not
• Inspecting the work as per architectural & structural drawing and maintaining the record of
inspection.
• Implementation of Quality Assurance Plan.
• If extra material/work is used or has been done raise JMR (joint measurement report) and
coordinate about the same to the client
• Prepare measurement sheet from onsite data & drawings
• Develop rate analysis, take approval and get the bills certified from the client
• To fetch the actual measurement of the site from the site engineer.
• Timely Estimating & Billing, Excellent knowledge of BBS.
• Checking and approving the quantities for the extra items / Substituted items.
• Checking and approving the rate analysis for the extra items.
• To process it as per the protocol of the company.
• Develop deviation sheet if there is any difference between planned vs. actual quantity used
• Assisting Project Manager in reconciliation & certification of final bills of contractors, suppliers,
vendors and consultants for the project.
• Assisting Project Manager in Preparation of Project close out report and submitting the same to
the clients for its approval.
• Preparation of draft Abstract & certificate of payment & billing related Formats.
• To interact with the Project Manager & Project Engineers to ascertain that certification as per
drawing / proper execution as per plan.
• Generate invoice as per the approved measurement and submitting it to the client
• Resolve any invoice queries of the client

4. KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR JOB
Education Diploma in Civil Engineering
Experience 10+
Skills • Should be good in MS Excel, word and ERP software

• Should be well conversant with the mode of measurement as per IS
Codes.
• Should be able to take the necessary measurement at the site as and
required for the clients’ bill.
• Should be able to reconcile the quantities as per actual v/s consumption
• Reconciliation of material & contractor bills
• Can perform cost analysis of construction material
