Job Description:

Position:          Sr. Manager/AGM - Finance

Location:          Jodhpur

Experience:       15 - 20 Years

Industries:        Chemical

 

Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Prepare departmental budgets categorized by cost centers, including plant and HO budgets.
  • Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and initiate cost-control measures.
  • Develop a 5-year financial plan and oversee annual budget preparation.
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage funds and optimize working capital requirements.
  • Develop financial information systems for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Conduct annual financial analysis and project feasibility studies for new initiatives.
  • Oversee LC documents, export receipts, and import payments.
  • Audit and Compliance:
  • Build and oversee an Internal Audit team for comprehensive yearly audits.
  • Establish a legal section to ensure adherence to statutory compliances.
  • Plan and execute bank physical stock audits and statutory audits.
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Analyze opportunity costs and oversee project feasibility evaluations.
  • Provide recommendations for fund-building strategies.
  • Strategize future departmental functions and reporting systems.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Ensure compliance with New Company Law and Accounting Systems for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Initiate quarterly financial closings and develop comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Prepare MIS reports, fund flows, grade-wise profitability, and sales summaries for director review.
  • Special Projects:
  • Maintain a fixed asset register, conduct physical counts, and reconcile with balance sheets.
  • Keep excel records of Mumbai flat shares and perform trend analysis.
  • Oversee tally maintenance and manage password updates.
  • Structuring and Organization:
  • Establish and streamline the Finance Department with a focus on FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), General Accounting (GA), Budgeting & Cost Control (B&CC), Internal Audit (IA), and Taxation & Law (T&L).
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure strict adherence.
  • Facilitate seamless coordination between the Head Office (HO) and Plant-level operations.
  • Strengthen financial operations at the plant level to ensure uniformity and efficiency.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and refine processes to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with established processes and operational guidelines.
  • Take ownership of daily voucher approvals and financial documentation for all companies.
  • Conduct daily planning, maintain a personal diary, and review team planning files.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Drive new initiatives to enhance departmental capabilities.
  • Act as a bridge between the Finance Department and senior management, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Strategize and execute plans for receivable management and plant/store compliance.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
  • Check and discuss debtor collection movement and negative contribution reports with directors. Review ECGC declarations and related reports and correspondence.
  • Verify cash payments to partners and oversee bank reconciliation statements and stock statements.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
  • Identify training needs and impart necessary skills to the team.
  • Develop a succession planning framework to ensure continuity.
  • Team Development:
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and map individual/team performance through PMS.
  • Conduct interviews for finance candidates and guide policy formulation.
  • Meetings and Collaboration:
  • Prepare for and attend F1 team meetings, director finance meetings, and inter-departmental sessions.
  • Participate in HR fostering, training, and team-building activities.
  • Plan and execute plant visits for finance-related oversight.
  • Investment Planning:
  • Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze market trends and financial instruments to optimize returns.
  • Develop and implement strategies for portfolio diversification.
  • Coordinate with financial institutions for investment planning and execution.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of investments to mitigate risks.
  • IPO Planning:
  • Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze market trends and financial instruments to optimize returns.
  • Develop and implement strategies for portfolio diversification.
  • Coordinate with financial institutions for investment planning and execution.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of investments to mitigate risks.
  • Taxation – GST /I-Tax in Mining:
  • Ensure compliance with GST regulations specific to the mining sector.
  • Prepare and file accurate Income Tax returns for the organization.
  • Manage GST input/output reconciliation and address discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with tax consultants to minimize liabilities and resolve disputes.
  • Stay updated on tax legislation changes affecting the mining industry and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Strategic Oversight:
  • Conduct policy and procedure reviews, including JD preparation and distribution.
  • Facilitate and monitor team minutes and prepare MOMs for meetings.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with SIL/SMPL/RJ Engineering and handle related tasks.
  • Coordinate with the US team, external stakeholders, and intra-departmental teams.
  • Ad-Hoc Duties:
  • Perform tasks as assigned by senior management.
  • Attend scheduled picnics and team-building activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Strong understanding of Finance & Taxation.
  • Proficient in Liaison, negotiation and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to lead team and collaborate with Management for organizational decision.

 

Required Qualification: - CA Only

Salary :- Upto 18.00 LPA
