Job Overview:
The Ecommerce Manager for Supermarket is responsible for overseeing and managing the online sales and operations of the supermarket’s products. This role includes developing, implementing, and optimizing ecommerce strategies, ensuring an excellent online shopping experience, managing product listings, and increasing sales through various online channels. The Ecommerce Manager will work closely with marketing, logistics, and product teams to align online and offline strategies and drive growth in the supermarket’s online business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ecommerce Strategy & Execution:

   - Develop and implement an ecommerce strategy for supermarket items to achieve growth targets.

   - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket’s online store, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.

   - Manage product categories, pricing, promotions, and stock levels on the ecommerce platform.

 

  1. Product Listings & Content Management:

- Ensure accurate and up-to-date product listings, including detailed descriptions, pricing, and images.

   - Collaborate with the product team to ensure that product availability and offerings are accurately reflected online.

   - Optimize content for SEO to improve online visibility and drive traffic to the website.

 

  1. Online Sales Management:

   - Monitor and analyze online sales performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

   - Set sales targets and KPIs for ecommerce activities and work to meet or exceed them.

   - Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute online campaigns, promotions, and special offers.

 

  1. Customer Experience & Service:

   - Ensure a positive customer experience through easy navigation, fast checkout, and timely order fulfillment.

   - Work closely with customer service teams to handle any issues related to online orders, returns, or customer feedback.

   - Maintain high customer satisfaction levels and encourage repeat business through online platforms.

 

  1. Digital Marketing & Social Media:

   - Collaborate with the marketing team to create digital marketing campaigns to promote products and drive

    traffic to the website.

     Manage the supermarket’s presence on various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and online sales.

   - Utilize email marketing, social media ads, SEO, and SEM strategies to boost ecommerce performance.

 

  1. Inventory & Logistics Coordination:

   - Coordinate with inventory and logistics teams to ensure that the online store accurately reflects stock levels.

   - Oversee the timely processing and fulfillment of online orders, ensuring smooth operations from order placement to delivery.

   - Manage stockouts and backorders, working to minimize customer frustration and maintain sales continuity.

 

  1. Analytics & Reporting:

   - Monitor, analyze, and report on key ecommerce metrics (traffic, conversion rates, sales, customer behavior, etc.).

   - Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve site performance and sales.

   - Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management to evaluate the success of ecommerce initiatives.

 

  1. Team Collaboration:

   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, logistics, and customer service to ensure            alignment on ecommerce goals.

   - Manage and mentor junior ecommerce team members, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal team performance.
