E Commerce Operations Supervisor
Job Description:
The Ecommerce Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the supermarket’s online store. This role involves ensuring smooth fulfillment of online orders, managing the warehouse and inventory for ecommerce operations, maintaining product accuracy, coordinating with various teams to meet customer expectations, and optimizing the operational processes for efficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Ecommerce Operations:
- Oversee all daily ecommerce operational tasks, including order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment of online orders.
- Supervise a team responsible for picking, packing, and shipping products to customers, ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure that all orders are processed and dispatched accurately, and meet the expected delivery timelines.
- Manage returns and exchanges processes, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Inventory & Stock Management:
- Monitor stock levels in the ecommerce warehouse and ensure accurate stock counts for online product listings.
- Coordinate with the inventory and procurement teams to ensure that the correct products are available for online sales.
- Perform regular audits of inventory, ensure product accuracy, and address discrepancies immediately.
- Product Listing Management:
- Ensure that product details, images, and descriptions are accurate and up to date for the online store.
- Liaise with product and marketing teams to ensure all relevant product information is displayed and optimized for online customers.
- Coordinate the timely launch of new products and promotions on the online platform.
- Warehouse & Fulfillment Optimization:
- Supervise warehouse operations to ensure products are organized, stored properly, and easily accessible for quick dispatch.
- Implement efficient processes for the picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
- Work with logistics and fulfillment partners to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
- Customer Service & Issue Resolution:
- Assist in resolving operational issues related to customer orders, product availability, or shipping.
- Communicate with customer service teams to handle customer complaints or queries about their orders.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring orders are processed quickly and accurately.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on order fulfillment, inventory levels, and operational performance.
- Analyze data to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the operational process and implement solutions.
- Provide regular feedback and recommendations to the Ecommerce Manager for improving the overall operational performance.
- Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Continuously identify areas of improvement within the ecommerce operations to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations related to ecommerce and
warehouse operations & implement best practices in logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in ecommerce operations, logistics, or a similar field, preferably in the retail or supermarket industry.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, warehouse management systems, and order fulfillment processes.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing teams.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments
