Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team at a leading General Insurance company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance processes, with a particular emphasis on claims management. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to define business requirements, analyze processes, and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders, underwriters, and claims teams to elicit and document business requirements.
- Claims Process Analysis: Analyze end-to-end claims processes, identify areas of improvement, and propose efficient solutions.
- Business Process Improvement: Map and optimize insurance workflows, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Data Analysis: Leverage data insights to support decision-making, track KPIs, and measure the impact of process changes.
- Documentation: Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, process flow diagrams, and user stories to communicate requirements effectively.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
- Solution Testing: Assist in creating test cases, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring that deliverables meet business needs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations in the general insurance domain and ensure solutions are compliant.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the adoption of new systems or processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience in insurance claims systems or operations.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO claims handling or ACORD.
- Certifications like CBAP, CII (Chartered Insurance Institute), or equivalent are an added advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Minimum 6+ years of Experience.
- Experience in the general insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, particularly in claims processing.
- Gathering and analysing business s requirements from stakeholders to ensure the development of effective solutions.
- Efficient in creating Epics, Features, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Expert in Scrum, Kanban, Agile Methodologies.
- Efficient in Microsoft Visio, Balsamiq, Figma for Wire framing and Flowcharts,
- Efficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint for documentation and presentation, MS Excel, and SQL for Data Analysis.
- Efficient in Business Analysis techniques like Business Process Modelling (BPM), MOSCOW Technique, Requirement Ranking Method, 100 Dollar method, Kano Analysis, SWOT Analysis and RCA
- Managing and providing subject matter expertise with the building of APIs for the entitlement verification for service.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in analysis, design, build, test design, validation, and documentation.
- Availed good knowledge in agile methodologies and techniques - Agile (Scrum) - Creating, Maintaining User Stories, Sprint Sheets.
- Strong background in business analysis, excellent Product and project management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of the Insurance domain is an added advantage.
- Expertise in using leading industry tools like Azure DevOps, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, MS Visio to develop various project deliverables and understand work.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer sciences, Engineering, and Mathematics, MBA
