Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, and test custom PCBs for WPT Tx and Rx systems.
• Develop and optimize schematics, PCB layouts, and BOM management in Altium Designer.
• Perform hardware debugging, troubleshooting issues in power electronics, MCUs, and BLE modules.
• Ensure EMI/EMC compliance, signal integrity, and high-efficiency power delivery for Kitchenery’s WPT modules.
• Work with PCB manufacturers, component vendors, and contract manufacturers to scale hardware production.
• Conduct real-world hardware validation with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and electronic load testers.
• Integrate temperature sensors, current sensors, and safety mechanisms for overheat/overcurrent protection.
• Validate PCB assembly, perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure seamless firmware-hardware interaction.
• Analyze electrical schematics and develop failure mitigation strategies for robust system performance.
• Support production testing and troubleshooting of WPT-enabled consumer products.
• Develop hardware validation test cases and test scripts for production-line testing.

Qualifications:

✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
✅ 10+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, PCB development, and electronic circuit prototyping.
✅ Expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout (Altium, KiCad), and multilayer PCB design.
✅ Strong understanding of power electronics, wireless power transfer (WPT), and embedded systems hardware.
✅ Experience with MCUs (ESP32, STM32, Renesas, NXP, etc.) and their hardware interfaces.
✅ Familiarity with high-frequency PCB design, EMI/EMC compliance, and safety standards (UL/IEC/CE).
✅ Strong circuit debugging and troubleshooting skills using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power analyzers.
✅ Knowledge of DFM/DFA practices for mass-market consumer electronics.
✅ Experience working with contract manufacturers, PCB fabrication houses, and production testing.
✅ Ability to collaborate with firmware teams to optimize system performance.
