Job Description:

 Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients using venipuncture or skin puncture techniques
• Correctly label and document blood samples for testing
• Maintain a sterile work environment and follow safety protocols to prevent contamination and infection
• Ensure patient comfort and handle any adverse reactions to blood draws
• Manage and maintain medical instruments and supplies.
• Work with medical professionals to support clinical diagnostics.
• Update patient records with details of the blood draw.
• Explain procedures to patients and ease their concerns.

• Proficient in venipuncture
• Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling samples
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
