Finance Controller
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops financial information to guide management decisions
a. Expert in finalization of accounts on monthly basis and making monthly MIS and other monthly
financial reports
b. Initiates the fiscal planning process by providing historical information, expenditure schedules,
trends and variance analysis, initiates corrective actions
c. Tracks and manages organization’s cost accounting, general ledger, cash flow, and balance sheet
2. Maintains organizational adherence to generally accepted accounting principles
a. Approves and files financial statements and reports, files tax returns, and ensures the appropriate
taxes are paid
b. Studies existing and pending legislation and collects information to anticipate future legal
requirements
c. Represents the organization by communicating and interacting with governmental agencies
3. Manages staff respectfully
a. Maintains open and honest communication with direct reports
b. Periodically communicates clear expectations, monitors job results compared to expectations,
documents constructive coaching throughout the year and during the annual review process
c. Enforces policies and procedures to ensure organizational consistency
d. Maintains professionalism and confidentiality in employee selection, performance management,
and employee relations
4. Supports internal and external customer service
a. Understands and documents internal and external customer needs and expectations
b. Develops resources and critical service metrics to ensure these needs are being met
c. Communicates to appropriate team(s) when an expectation will not be met
Knowledge, skills and/or abilities:
1. Proficient in English speaking and communication in English with our US Accounts and Finance team.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Accounting and MRP/ERP Software
preferable Microsoft Navision/Business Central or SAP.
3. Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to inspire and motivate staff
5. Ability to provide a respectful work environment for others

Education and/or Experience:
1. Professional degree (B.Com, M. Com with Chartered Accountant, ICMA and Company Secretary and
having multiple degree will have an added advantage to the candidate).
2. Controller/Manager Accounts Experience required: 5-10 years of Experience in Accounts in Pvt.
Ltd./Public Ltd. Companies with expertise in Accounts Finalization, Income Tax working and Costing.
