Commercial Accountant
Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Commercial Accountant with experience in the tire industry to support financial operations, revenue management, and cost optimization. The role involves analyzing sales performance, managing pricing strategies, and ensuring profitability through effective financial control. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and commercial finance within the automotive or tire sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare financial reports related to sales, revenue, and profit margins in the tire business.
• Conduct cost and pricing analysis to ensure profitability of tire products.
• Perform variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted financials, providing insights for improvement.
• Analyze financial trends in raw materials, production costs, and distribution expenses.
Cost & Inventory Management:
• Manage inventory accounting to minimize losses and optimize stock levels.
• Work closely with supply chain and production teams to control manufacturing costs.
• Track and optimize logistics and distribution expenses for tire deliveries.
Sales & Pricing Support:
• Analyze pricing strategies and discount slabs and market offers based on market trends and competitor analysis.
• Support the sales team with profitability assessments for bulk orders, B2B deals, and export sales.
•Review and validate dealer and distributor commissions, rebates, and discounts.
• Assist in contract negotiations by evaluating financial risks and opportunities.
Accounts & Compliance:
• Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Handle credit control and risk assessment for tire distributors and clients.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, customs duties (for imports/exports), and financial audits.
Business Partnering & Decision Support:
• Work with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to drive business growth.
• Provide financial insights for new product launches and market expansions.
• Evaluate the profitability, settle claims and liaison with vendors
• Accounts reconciliation across different stakeholders
• Support management with financial forecasts and business performance analysis.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA, CMA, ACCA preferred).
• Experience: 4+ years in commercial finance, cost accounting, or FP&A in the tire, automotive, or manufacturing industry.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to interpret financial data, present reports, and provide strategic recommendations.
