Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate with at least 1 year of experience in the sanitary ware industry to join our dynamic showroom team. The ideal candidate will possess strong product knowledge in sanitary ware products, including taps, fittings, tiles, basins, and related items, and demonstrate the ability to drive sales while providing excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Interaction & Sales:

    • Greet and assist customers in the showroom by providing information on products, features, and benefits.
    • Offer expert advice on sanitary ware products, such as taps, fittings, tiles, basins, and related accessories.
    • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
    • Upsell and cross-sell related products to increase sales.
    • Demonstrate the features of products and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
  2. Product Knowledge:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the product range, including specifications, material, uses, and installation requirements.
    • Stay updated on new arrivals, trends, and innovations in the sanitary ware industry.
  3. Sales Targets & Performance:

    • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management.
    • Track and report on sales progress, highlighting any trends or opportunities.
  4. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through regular follow-ups and personalized service.
    • Resolve customer complaints or issues efficiently and professionally.
    • Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims as per company policies.
  5. Inventory Management:

    • Assist in managing showroom stock levels, ensuring products are well-displayed and readily available for customers.
    • Notify management of low stock or popular items that need restocking.
    • Ensure the showroom is neat, organized, and visually appealing.
  6. Sales Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer information, and product inquiries.
    • Prepare sales reports and provide feedback to the management on sales performance and customer trends.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales within the sanitary ware or construction materials industry, preferably in a showroom environment.
  • Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of sanitary ware products, including taps, fittings, tiles, basins, and other related items.
  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to meet sales targets, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain a clean and organized showroom.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the sales team and other showroom staff.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, including point-of-sale systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the sanitary ware or home improvement industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and products in the sanitary ware market.
  • A strong interest in interior design and home renovation.
