Jacquard Department Head
Job Description:
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Jacquard Department Head to oversee the operations of the
Jacquard weaving department. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in
Jacquard fabric production, design execution, machine handling, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
● Production Management: Plan, supervise, and optimize the Jacquard weaving
process to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.
● Design Execution: Work closely with the design team to implement new Jacquard
patterns and fabric designs as per market trends and customer requirements.
● Machine Operation & Maintenance: Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance
of Jacquard looms and related machinery. Ensure minimal downtime and troubleshoot
issues promptly.
● Quality Control: Ensure fabric quality standards are met by monitoring defects, color
accuracy, and weave precision.
● Team Supervision: Lead, train, and mentor a team of weavers, operators, and
technicians to maintain productivity and discipline.
● Process Improvement: Implement cost-effective production techniques, reduce
waste, and enhance efficiency in the weaving process.
● Inventory & Material Management: Monitor yarn and raw material stock levels,
coordinate with procurement, and ensure timely availability of resources.
● Compliance & Safety: Enforce workplace safety standards, ensure compliance with
company policies, and maintain a clean and organized department.
Requirements:
● Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Jacquard weaving, with at least 3-5
years in a leadership role.
● Education: Diploma/Degree in Textile Technology, Fabric Engineering, or a related
field.
● Technical Skills:
○ In-depth knowledge of Jacquard looms, CAD weaving software, and fabric
construction.
○ Ability to analyze weave structures, patterns, and textile compositions.
○ Hands-on experience with weaving production planning and troubleshooting.
● Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● Preferred: Candidates with experience in garment textiles, home textiles, or
