Job Description:

responsible for safely operating an overhead crane to lift, move, and position heavy loads
within a factory or warehouse setting, ensuring proper load attachment, adherence to weight
limits, and maintaining clear communication with other workers on the ground while following
strict safety protocols; their duties often include daily crane inspections and basic maintenance checks.

Operating the crane:
- Control the crane's movements to lift, lower, and precisely position loads using levers and controls.
- Maneuver the crane to reach different areas within the work area.
- Attach and detach loads securely using appropriate lifting equipment (hooks, slings, etc.).

Safety procedures:
- Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of the crane to identify any malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Follow load charts and weight limits to ensure safe lifting operations.
- Communicate effectively with other workers on the ground using hand signals and verbal commands.
- Observe and maintain safe working distances around the crane.
