Position Title: Sales and Marketing Executive

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Marketing Executive to join our Transformal Division. This role is pivotal to driving growth through government licensing in the electricity sector and managing tender participation. The ideal candidate will have experience in government regulations, licensing processes, and tender submissions. This position requires a deep understanding of the electricity board's requirements, the ability to cultivate key relationships, and strong market analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Government Licensing and Compliance:

  • Manage and ensure compliance with government regulations for the electricity sector.
  • Handle all licensing procedures, ensuring timely renewals, updates, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and electricity boards.
  • Stay up to date on all government policies and procedures related to the electricity sector.

2. Tender Management & Participation:

  • Identify and monitor relevant tenders in the electricity industry, specifically those related to government and public sector contracts.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality tenders and proposals.
  • Liaise with internal departments (technical, finance, legal, etc.) to gather information and prepare tender documents.
  • Track and follow up on tender results, and ensure the company's interests are represented throughout the process.
  • Analyze competitors' submissions and improve tendering strategies to enhance the chances of winning bids.

3. Sales and Business Development:

  • Generate leads and acquire new business opportunities within the electricity sector, with a focus on government and public-sector clients.
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers within government agencies, boards, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to target government contracts and tenders.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with current and potential clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

4. Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the division’s services to government and public sector clients.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and proposals tailored to the government sector.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to build the company’s brand and reputation in the electricity industry.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide insights to help guide the company’s strategic positioning.

5. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Maintain up-to-date records of tender submissions, sales pipelines, and business development activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales progress, tender outcomes, and market trends for senior management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market research to enhance the company’s positioning in the market.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, and business development in the energy or utilities sector, with a focus on government licensing and tendering.
  • Deep understanding of the electricity sector and government regulations in the energy market.
  • Experience with tender submissions and understanding of public sector procurement processes.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, particularly with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with electricity board regulations and industry standards.
  • Experience in preparing technical and financial tender documentation.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and strategies.
