Job Description:
A godown supervisor, or warehouse supervisor, manages daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods, while ensuring efficiency, safety, and inventory accuracy, and supervising staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

Inventory Control:Manage inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Staff Supervision:Supervise warehouse staff, assign tasks, provide training, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Safety and Security:Maintain a safe and secure working environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

Process Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Communication and Coordination:Communicate effectively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods.

Documentation:Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other relevant information.

Quality Control:Monitor the quality of goods received and distributed from the warehouse and address any issues.
