Position: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Kolkata

Department: Supply Chain / Logistics

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to optimize supply chain operations, reduce costs, ensure timely delivery, manage risks, and strengthen supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing production planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize supply chain operations and reduce costs.
  • Plan materials, hardware, and resource requirements.
  • Manage procurement and place purchase orders.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling.
  • Manage logistics and inventory control.
  • Conduct technical discussions with sales teams and senior management (CEO/GM).
  • Handle packing, inspection, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with factory managers and contractors for production execution.
  • Prepare reports on finished goods and inventory.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly production meetings.
  • Conduct regular factory visits (at least twice a week).
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing inspections.
  • Maintain quality assurance (QA) files and key documents.
  • Update sales teams on production and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze and optimize production processes for efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and suggest improvements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Graduation (Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred).

Experience: 4-7 years of experience in Purchase Management within the Building Materials Industry.

Problem-Solving, Decision-Making, Negotiation, Communication, Leadership, Adaptability, Critical Thinking, Time Management, Conflict Resolution, and Strategic Planning.


Hard Skills:

Proficiency in Excel (Basic to Advanced), MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), and Project Management (PERT/CPM).
