Granulation Operator
Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Granulation Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring granulation equipment used in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process. This role ensures that raw materials are processed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to produce high-quality granules used in tablet or capsule formulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Granulation Process Operation:
- Operate granulation equipment such as high shear mixers, fluid bed dryers, mills, and blenders.
- Ensure accurate weighing and mixing of raw materials as per batch manufacturing records (BMR).
- Control parameters like temperature, humidity, and drying time during the granulation process.

Quality and Compliance:
- Follow all SOPs, cGMP, and safety regulations to maintain compliance with pharmaceutical standards.
- Monitor product quality during production and report any deviations or abnormalities.
- Assist in troubleshooting process deviations and suggest improvements.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate batch records, logbooks, and cleaning records as per regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, legible, and updated in a timely manner.

Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Perform routine cleaning, setup, and maintenance of granulation equipment.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance.

Safety and Hygiene:
- Adhere to company safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to avoid cross-contamination.

Teamwork and Coordination:
- Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and production teams for smooth operations.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of granulation techniques and safety practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, or relevant field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in granulation operations in the pharmaceutical industry (freshers with relevant technical background may also be considered).
- Skills:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to operate granulation equipment efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
