Manager(Compounding & Mixing) for plant at Jalgaon location

We need Manager(Compounding & Mixing) for our plant at Jalgaon location. 

Candidate MUST have worked in PVC industry.  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing Compounding and Mixing Operations:

   • Supervise the day-to-day operations of compounding and mixing processes for PVC products.
   • Ensure the correct formulation and blending of PVC resins with other additives like stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, pigments, and plasticizers.

2. Quality Control:

   • Ensure the final product meets quality standards and specifications.
   • Work closely with the quality assurance team to implement quality checks during and after the mixing process.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to product quality or production processes.

3. Process Optimization:

   • Continuously monitor and improve compounding and mixing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
   • Analyze and implement best practices to improve productivity and reduce waste or downtime.

4. Safety & Compliance:

   • Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed in the compounding and mixing areas.
   • Manage compliance with local environmental and safety regulations (e.g., handling of chemicals, waste disposal, etc.).

5. Team Management:

   • Lead, train, and manage a team of operators and technicians involved in compounding and mixing.
   • Schedule shifts, allocate tasks, and ensure that production targets are met on time.

6. Equipment & Maintenance Management:

   • Oversee the maintenance of mixing and compounding equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
   • Collaborate with the engineering team for any required equipment upgrades or repairs.

7. Inventory Management:

   • Ensure an adequate supply of raw materials, additives, and chemicals required for the compounding process.
   • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to maintain stock.

8. Research and Development (R&D) Collaboration:

   • Work closely with R&D teams to develop new formulations, improve existing products, and experiment with new materials.

9. Production Planning:

   • Collaborate with the production planning team to align compounding and mixing processes with overall production schedules.
   • Coordinate with other departments such as extrusion, molding, and packaging for smooth production flow.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 10-15 years of experience in compounding and mixing, preferably in the PVC or plastics industry.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of polymer chemistry, additives, and processing techniques.
• Management Skills: Experience in managing a team and coordinating cross-functional activities.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in compounding, mixing, and quality control.
• Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Education: A degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in manufacturing or safety could be beneficial.
