DISPATCH OFFICER - SUNDERGARH
Job Description:
A Loading/Unloading job involves moving goods onto or off of vehicles or other transport mediums, ensuring safe and efficient handling, and potentially operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Loading and Unloading: Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from trucks, containers, or other vehicles.
- Goods Handling: Handle goods, including selecting, unloading, segregating, tallying, verifying, and delivering them.
- Equipment Operation: Operate loading equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Ensure correct freight is loaded and shipped, and verify received orders against paperwork.
- Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure work environment, following safety procedures and regulations.
- Inspection: Inspect goods for damage or defects before and after loading/unloading, reporting any issues.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Reporting: Report any issues or discrepancies to management.
- Other Duties: May include preparing and performing loading/unloading tasks, gathering equipment, and ensuring proper storage
