Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Paper Maker with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the paper manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the paper production process, ensuring quality standards, optimizing machine operations, and maintaining a smooth workflow in the paper mill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor paper-making machines, including Fourdrinier, Cylinder Mould, and other paper production equipment.

  • Supervise the entire paper production process, from raw material preparation (pulping) to final sheet formation.

  • Ensure the quality of paper products by maintaining proper moisture, texture, thickness, and strength.

  • Identify and troubleshoot machine issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high efficiency.

  • Adjust machine settings to optimize production and minimize waste.

  • Monitor and maintain stock preparation, fiber refining, and chemical treatment processes.

  • Implement and maintain safety procedures in compliance with industry regulations.

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive maintenance and repairs.

  • Train and mentor junior operators and production staff.

  • Maintain production records, logs, and reports for quality assurance and process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the paper-making industry.

  • Strong knowledge of paper production processes, raw materials, and machine operations.

  • Hands-on experience with paper manufacturing equipment such as Fourdrinier, Twin-Wire, or Cylinder Mould machines.

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues efficiently.

  • Understanding of pulp refining, chemical additives, and paper finishing techniques.

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the paper industry.

  • Ability to work in shifts and handle a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Pulp & Paper Technology or a related field.

  • Experience working in a large-scale paper mill or specialty paper manufacturing unit.
