Job Description:

The Assistant Manager - Operations will be responsible for managing and overseeing various operational tasks related to import/export activities and coordination with different departments. Key duties include:

• Coordination with CHA Staff: Ensure smooth import delivery vehicle operations and container placement at the designated point.
• De-stuffing Coordination: Work with the CHA for container de-stuffing at the CFS (Container Freight Station).
• Loading of Containers: Manage the loading of import-loaded containers onto CHA vehicles.
• Transport Department Coordination: Ensure the availability of the rich stacker and other transport-related activities.
• Weighment of Containers: Oversee the weighment process for import-loaded containers.
• Container Placement: Collaborate with surveyors for the correct placement of containers, seal cutting, and conducting necessary PPQ & AC examinations.
• Job Execution: Coordinate with surveyors to begin and execute new delivery jobs.
• Delivery Arrangements: Organize and oversee the delivery of loaded containers on CHA vehicles.
• Documentation Coordination: Liaise with the documentation department to ensure the validity of Delivery Orders (DO) and containers.
• Warehouse Management: Supervise warehouse activities, ensuring efficient space utilization through proper stacking.
• Carting and Stuffing: Work with CHA staff for effective carting and stuffing planning.
• Workplace Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all labours involved in operational activities.
• Job Coordination with Surveyors: Assist in starting and executing jobs in coordination with surveyors.
