Job Description:

Position:         Sr. Executive/Asst. Manager - Costing & MIS 

Location:        Palej - Bharuch

Experience:    3 - 5 Years

Industries:     Packaging

 

Responsibilities:

  • Costing:

  • Develop and maintain standard cost structures for all packaging products.
  • Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to optimize production costs.
  • Support product costing for new projects and customer quotations.
  • Ensure proper costing of materials, labor, overhead, and other operational costs.
  • MIS Reporting:
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual management information system (MIS) reports.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance data to assist in decision-making.
  • Provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost efficiency metrics.
  • General Ledger (GL) Reconciliation:
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of GL accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between trial balance and actual results.
  • Support year-end closing and audit processes by preparing GL schedules.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory valuation, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and production teams to optimize stock levels.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Prepare annual budgets, including cost analysis, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
  • Recommend cost-cutting initiatives and process improvements to stay within budget.
  • Audit & Compliance:
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies regarding financial transactions.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Insurance & Risk Management:
  • Manage company insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage for assets and liabilities.
  • Collaborate with the legal and procurement teams to manage claims and ensure timely renewals.
  • Capital Expenditure (Capex) & Fixed Asset (FA) Management:
  • Track and manage capital expenditure projects, ensuring proper approval, allocation, and recording of costs.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, including depreciation calculations and periodic audits.
  • Support the financial planning and analysis team in evaluating investment opportunities and ROI.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of costing methods and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and other accounting software.
  • Experience in GL reconciliation, inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and statutory compliance.

Required Qualification: - CMA/CA

Salary :- Upto 12.00 LPA
