Job Description:

A Boiler DCS (Distributed Control System) Engineer designs, operates, and maintains boiler systems using DCS technology to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining the DCS, monitoring critical boiler parameters like temperature and pressure, optimizing combustion, executing start-up and shutdown procedures, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with other teams, and maintaining operational logs and reports.

Key Responsibilities

DCS Configuration and Maintenance:

Install, configure, and maintain the distributed control system for boiler operations.
System Monitoring:

Continuously monitor critical boiler parameters such as temperature, pressure, fuel feed, and emissions through the DCS.
Boiler Operation:

Execute start-up and shutdown sequences, regulate boiler operations, and adjust settings for optimal efficiency.
Troubleshooting and Fault Diagnosis:

Promptly identify, diagnose, and resolve operational issues, performing root cause analysis to implement corrective measures.
Safety and Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to plant safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational limits.
Combustion Optimization:

Optimize fuel feed, combustion efficiency, and bed material circulation by monitoring and controlling relevant parameters.
Coordination:

Communicate effectively with field engineers, maintenance teams, and other relevant departments.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and records of operational activities, deviations, and maintenance work.

Key Skills and Knowledge

Expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
Familiarity with various types of boilers, such as CFBC boilers.
Strong understanding of boiler operation, combustion, and associated auxiliary equipment.
Ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards.
Good communication and coordination skills.
