Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources including government
systems, APIs, and open datasets.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Support performance monitoring of digital service delivery (e.g., user adoption, grievance
redressal, efficiency metrics).
Visualization & Dashboarding
• Design and develop dynamic, interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or
Google Data Studio.
• Generate reports and visual narratives for stakeholders to aid decision-making and policy
formulation.
• Provide data stories and executive briefs highlighting key trends, usage insights, and citizen
impact.
Data Integration & Automation
• Work with technical teams to integrate real-time and batch data from backend systems,
databases, and APIs.
• Automate data pipelines and workflows to ensure timely updates and scalability.
Support for Digital Policy & Transformation
• Analyze datasets to assess the impact of digital transformation initiatives and suggest
improvements.
• Provide inputs for project appraisals, DPRs, and policy documents using evidence-based
metrics.
• Support ministries in identifying areas for process improvement using data insights.
Collaboration & Governance
• Work closely with Ministry stakeholders, business analysts, and developers to ensure datadriven project implementation.
• Promote adoption of standardized data models and metadata practices in line with MeitY
guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy and security policies under frameworks like the Digital
Personal Data Protection Act.
Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering
Desirable:
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field
• Certifications in Data Analytics, BI Tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau), Python, R,
SQL, or Google Analytics
Skills and Experience:
• 6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R
• Experience with dashboarding tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Knowledge of APIs, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts
• Understanding of SDLC and working with cross-functional teams (Business + Technical)
• Familiarity with public sector datasets and e-Governance KPIs
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data tools is desirable
