The job description for a Staples RSM (Regional Sales Manager)
Leading and driving sales performance within a specific region, overseeing a team of sales representatives, and ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities would include developing and executing sales strategies, coaching and mentoring sales team members, and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:
•
Developing and implementing effective sales strategies for the assigned region.
•
Setting and managing sales quotas and targets for the sales team.
•
Driving sales performance by coaching, mentoring, and motivating sales representatives.
•
Analyzing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
•
Team Management:
•
Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding sales representatives.
•
Providing ongoing training and development for the sales team.
•
Managing the performance of sales representatives, providing feedback and coaching.
•
Resolving conflicts and addressing performance issues within the team.
•
Sales Execution:
•
Ensuring that sales representatives are effectively managing their territories and meeting their goals.
•
Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to support sales efforts.
•
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the region.
•
Reporting and Analysis:
•
Preparing and presenting regular sales reports and analyses to management.
•
Monitoring sales performance against targets and identifying areas that need attention.
•
Staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
•
Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
•
Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, ideally in a retail or business-to-business environment.
•
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
•
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop effective strategies.
•
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
•
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
•
Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Position: Full time
Remuneration: ₹20 LPA (negotiable)
