Job Description:
Position: Production Officer
Location: Dadra Nagar Haveli - Silvassa
Experience: 5 - 6 Years
Industries: Chemical
Responsibilities:
- To run the shifts as per: the plan, product/batch to be manufactured, available manpower and priorities with respect to dispatch and customer orders.
- To operate the DCS, monitoring of process efficiently to avoid potential failure.
- Provide training to sub ordinate for SOP / WI & HSE practices.
- To ensure the adherence of safety standards, operating procedures and processes for the related products as per the ISO norms by all subordinates.
- To prepare reports related to production module of prior, during and post production of each batch.
- To send in processed and finished product samples to the QC department for analysis and receive the feedback report of the same for dispatch/reproduction purposes.
- To ensure the efficient use of inventories and equipments for reducing wastage of resources & minimizing the chances of damage to the equipments in the plant.
- To supervise the operators working on boilers, reactors, distillation columns etc. in the Plant and monitor the reactions & report any irregularities to the superior present at the time.
- To procure raw materials from the Stores department as per the batch schedule with respect to grade & quantity and arrange for raw materials for intermediates from the same.
- To handle and supervise the workmen assigned to a particular batch as per the manpower plan of the Shift Manager - Production.
- To monitor the reactor status and inform the maintenance department if need be.
- To fill up batch cards on the ongoing production.
- To ensure that all safety procedures are adhered to in the Plant.
- To ensure the minimum spillage and wastage of materials.
- To look after the housekeeping activities for the Plant in the absence of housekeeping staff.
- Basic computer software knowledge.
- Basic knowledge unit operations of chemical engineering & Industrial Safety.
