Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a strong background in the Iron & Steel or Railway industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll processing, and managing the full HR lifecycle within a manufacturing/factory setup. This role is critical for maintaining workforce stability, legal compliance, and smooth HR operations on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:

End-to-end recruitment for factory and technical positions.

Coordinate with department heads to identify manpower requirements.

Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and manage offer roll-outs.

Manage onboarding, induction, and joining formalities.
Payroll & Compliance:

Prepare and process monthly payroll using HR software or Excel.

Ensure accurate attendance, leave, and overtime calculations.

Handle statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, LWF).

Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement.
HR Operations & Employee Relations:

Maintain and update employee records and HRIS.

Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Ensure workplace compliance with labor laws and factory rules.

Manage contract labor documentation and vendor coordination.
Performance & Training:

Assist in performance management and annual appraisal process.

Identify skill gaps and arrange relevant training for workers/staff.
General Administration Support:

Oversee factory welfare initiatives, uniforms, ID cards, and facility upkeep.

Coordinate safety drills and employee engagement programs.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HRM, Industrial Relations, or relevant field.

Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a factory setup within Iron & Steel or Railway sector only.

Strong knowledge of labor laws, factory compliance, and industrial relations.

Proficient in MS Excel, HRMS/payroll systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be proactive, organized, and capable of handling responsibilities independently.
