Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage day-to-day store activities, ensuring smooth operations across departments like billing, goods receipt, loading/unloading, and floor supervision. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Retail Supermarket or Hypermarket setup and possess strong skills in customer service, team coordination, inventory handling, and POS operations.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Floor Supervision:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the sales floor and ensure merchandising standards are maintained.

  • Monitor product availability, stock rotation, and cleanliness across departments.

  • Coordinate with department staff for proper shelf stocking and customer assistance.

2. GRN (Goods Receipt Note) & Inventory Management:

  • Supervise GRN entries and ensure accurate receipt of goods as per purchase orders.

  • Coordinate with the warehouse and vendors for timely delivery and quality checks.

  • Maintain proper records of received goods and resolve discrepancies.

3. Billing & POS Operations:

  • Monitor billing counters and ensure customer transactions are processed efficiently.

  • Provide support to billing staff during peak hours or system issues.

  • Train cashiers and billing executives on POS systems and customer handling.

4. Loading & Unloading Supervision:

  • Oversee loading/unloading of goods at receiving bays or storage areas.

  • Ensure goods are handled carefully to avoid damage or loss.

  • Maintain logs and documentation of inward/outward stock movement.

5. Customer Service & Store Support:

  • Handle customer queries, feedback, and escalations promptly.

  • Support promotional activities and seasonal campaigns on the shop floor.

  • Assist in managing manpower shifts, break schedules, and task allocation.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Good understanding of retail operations, including inventory, billing, and merchandising.

  • Familiarity with ERP/POS systems used in retail (e.g., Ginesys, SAP Retail, Oracle).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and team coordination abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Commerce, Business Administration, or Retail Management).

  • Certification in Retail Management or related courses is a plus.


Experience Required:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in roles such as:

    • Floor Supervisor

    • GRN Assistant / GRN Officer

    • Billing Executive / Billing Supervisor

    • Loading & Unloading Supervisor

    • Department Officer

  • Experience in supermarket or hypermarket chains preferred.


Work Environment:

  • Store-based role with rotating shifts (including weekends and holidays).

  • Physical movement across departments required.

  • Exposure to warehouse/store conditions.
