Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced painting engineer to join our inspection team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in painting and coating inspections related to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and structural components. BGAS Grade 3/2 certification is required, and CSWIP 3.1 certification is preferred. The candidate must also be familiar with post-fabrication inspection activities and various NDT methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform surface preparation and painting inspections for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and structural components.

• Conduct and witness post-fabrication inspections, including:

o Hydrostatic testing

o Pickling and passivation

o Blasting and painting

o VPCI (Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitor) & N₂ purging

o Stenciling, marking, loading, and spare parts inspection

• Witness and verify NDT activities such as:

o Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

o Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

o Penetrant Testing (PT)

o Positive Material Identification (PMI)

• Review and interpret Radiographic Testing (RT) reports and films.

• Calibrate and verify pressure gauges and other inspection tools.

• Coordinate with clients, third-party inspectors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records and reports.

Qualifications:

  •  BGAS Painting Inspector Grade 3/2 (mandatory)
  • CSWIP 3.1 Certification (preferred)
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 08 years of experience in painting/coating inspection for heavy industrial equipment
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, ASTM, SSPC/NACE
  • Knowledge of Aramco Standards
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and documentation in fabrication and inspection environments
