Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Project Costing and Estimation Engineer to support the project bidding and execution phases. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability and compliance with technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents, drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs to understand project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontracting, and overheads.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations to determine best pricing and delivery terms.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and complete costing.
- Develop and maintain a cost database for standard components and previous project benchmarks.
- Assist in preparing and submitting technical and commercial bids within deadlines.
- Analyze project risks and include contingency factors in cost estimates.
- Participate in project handover meetings, supporting the execution team with estimation insights.
- Monitor actual costs vs. estimated costs and identify variances for future improvement.
- Maintain records of tenders submitted, outcomes, and lessons learned.
- Deep Knowledge in Working & Costing of Electrical, VFD and Control Panel
- Experience and Working Of DCS, PLC and RIIO Panel
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering (or related field depending on industry).
- 3–7 years of experience in project estimation and costing, preferably in EPC, automation, MEP, or panel manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with tendering procedures, contract terms, and BOQ analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation/tendering software (e.g., Candy, Primavera, or SAP is a plus).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
