Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Sales Engineer to drive sales and business development of DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and control systems, with a proven track record of engaging with clients and delivering customized solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and drive sales of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and VFD solutions across assigned territories or sectors (e.g., oil & gas, power, water, manufacturing, Chemical , Pharma).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calls, site visits, and industry networking.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (OEMs, EPCs, consultants, end users).
- Understand customer requirements and propose technical solutions in coordination with application and engineering teams.
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical discussions with clients.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, tenders, and quotations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale in line with company policy.
- Work with internal teams (engineering, project management, service) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Track market trends, competition, and customer needs to refine sales strategy.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, profitability, and growth objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales of automation and control systems (DCS, PLCs, SCADA, VFDs).
- Strong understanding of industrial automation applications and customer requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and technical discussions.
- Familiarity with major automation brands (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell, etc.) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
