HR Generalist

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment, handling payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and supporting general HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

• Handle end-to-end recruitment for non-IT/service industry roles.

• Prepare and post job descriptions on various platforms.

• Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers.

• Maintain recruitment trackers and ensure timely closures.

• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline.

2. Payroll & Compensation:

• Process monthly payroll in coordination with the finance department.

• Maintain accurate employee attendance and leave records.

• Handle salary components, reimbursements, incentives, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.).

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries.

3. Labour Law Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to local labour laws and statutory regulations.

• Maintain and file statutory records such as PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.

• Coordinate with external consultants/auditors for compliance checks.

• Manage labour inspections and handle grievances related to labour issues.

4. HR Operations & Administration:

• Assist in onboarding, induction, and exit formalities.

• Maintain HR documentation and employee records.

• Support performance management processes and employee engagement activities.

• Assist in policy implementation and process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in recruitment, payroll, and labour compliance.

• Strong knowledge of HR practices and Indian labour laws.

• Hands-on experience with HR software.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
