About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned logistics and dispatch professional to join our team as a
Assistant Manager – Dispatch & Logistics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on
experience in organizing lorry movements at optimal cost, handling dispatch procedures,
overseeing material loading/unloading, and managing export-level packaging including
signing and labelling. Coordination with the documentation department is also a critical part
of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and organize lorry/truck dispatches to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Optimize transportation cost while maintaining delivery timelines and quality.
Supervise the loading and unloading of materials in coordination with the store and
logistics teams.
Ensure proper packaging of goods as per domestic and international (export)
standards.
Oversee the application of correct signage and labelling on packaged goods.
Coordinate with documentation team for dispatch documentation like invoices, e-way
bills, packing lists, and export documents.
Liaise with transporters and freight forwarders for smooth logistics movement.
Maintain dispatch records and generate reports for management.
Monitor vehicle turnaround time and ensure minimum idle time for transport.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and statutory norms during dispatch.
Provide regular updates on dispatch status to internal stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
B.Com / BBA / any related graduate degree.
8-10 years of relevant experience in dispatch/logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of dispatch planning, truck hiring, and freight cost optimization.
Good understanding of material handling, loading/unloading protocols.
Familiar with packaging norms for export, including labelling and documentation.
Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics management software.
Strong coordination and communication skills for inter-departmental collaboration.
Knowledge of GST, transport regulations, and export compliance is an added
advantage.
