As the Vice President of Strategy, you will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives across multiple business verticals, including Primary, Syndicate, Mandate, and Loans. You will lead a high-performing team to deliver actionable insights, drive process optimization via technology, and ensure seamless collaboration across sales, marketing, and operations. This role combines strategic thinking, operational rigor, and cross-functional leadership to support business growth and productivity.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Define and execute medium- and long-term strategic initiatives to achieve growth targets across core business verticals.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align business goals and strategic direction.
- Evaluate new business models, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies to strengthen market positioning.
- Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a dynamic strategy and operations team.
- Foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Ensure that strategic priorities are cascaded effectively and executed with discipline.
- Process Optimization & Technology Enablement
- Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency through process reengineering and digital transformation.
- Identify and implement technology tools to optimize sales funnels, marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
- Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Oversee the development of dashboards and KPIs for performance tracking across verticals.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and actionable reporting for leadership and functional heads.
- Leverage data analytics to drive insights into customer behavior, sales productivity, and market effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the strategic liaison across functions such as sales, marketing, product, finance, and technology.
- Align cross-functional teams around common objectives, ensuring smooth execution of strategic initiatives.
- Present regular updates, recommendations, and outcomes to the executive team.
- Special Projects & Business Transformation
- Lead mission-critical projects such as expansion strategies, organizational restructuring, M&A evaluations, or new product launches.
- Own end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives from concept to results.
Candidate Profile:
Education & Experience
- MBA from a Tier 1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS, etc.) or equivalent; engineering background is a plus.
- 10–15 years of experience in corporate strategy, business operations, management consulting, or strategic roles within fast-paced organizations.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and implementing large-scale initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Hands-on experience with sales, marketing, and business process automation tools (CRM, ERP, BI platforms).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L ownership, budgeting, and cost optimization is preferred.
