Key Responsibilities:
1. Industry & Client Knowledge
Stay informed about developments in the API industry and upcoming new manufacturing plants.
Maintain strong contacts with production and maintenance heads of major API manufacturing companies.
Actively engage with existing API manufacturing plants to establish and expand company presence.
2. Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and growth objectives.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define sales goals and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
3. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing training and development.
Conduct regular performance reviews, offering feedback and coaching for continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment that drives success.
4. Client Acquisition & Retention
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
Drive new client acquisition while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Oversee key accounts and ensure exceptional service delivery, addressing any client concerns promptly.
5. Sales Process Management
Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Ensure adherence to best practices and efficient sales processes.
Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and generate accurate sales performance reports.
Continuously refine and optimize sales processes to improve conversion rates and shorten sales cycles.
6. Reporting & Analysis
Provide regular sales performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Analyze sales data and metrics to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies as needed.
Prepare quarterly and annual sales forecasts and track progress against targets.
Requisite Skills & Qualifications:
Proven success in managing sales teams, meeting sales targets, and driving revenue growth.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices.
