Job Description:

Position Title: Fleet Coordinator
Location: Tanzania
Salary: $500–$800/month

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Fleet Coordinator to manage our company’s vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient scheduling, maintenance, and tracking of all vehicles while adhering to regulatory standards. This role involves close coordination with drivers, mechanics, and internal departments to optimize fleet operations and ensure timely service delivery.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a central registry of all company-owned vehicles.

  • Schedule and track vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

  • Manage vehicle reservations and monitor usage requests.

  • Coordinate vehicle assignments with program and departmental staff.

  • Oversee driver scheduling and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

  • Ensure all vehicles are properly licensed, insured, and equipped with safety gear.

  • Monitor inventory levels and vehicle availability.

  • Respond to emergency repair needs and coordinate insurance claims.

  • Prepare lease invoices and track costs associated with fleet usage.

  • Conduct periodic inspections to ensure fleet safety and reliability.

  • Process new vehicle acquisition requests and obtain dealership quotes.

  • Generate and present operational reports and fleet performance data.

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to update and enforce fleet policies.

  • Analyze fleet data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fleet coordination, logistics, or transport operations.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
