💼 Position:  SQL Engineer (Remote)

• Compensation: ₹10 LPA

• Work Mode: Fully Remote

• Shift: 5 AM–2 PM IST (aligned with New Zealand morning hours)

• Language Requirement: Excellant English—daily interaction with NZ-based stakeholders

🔧 Role Overview

As a Data Warehouse & SQL Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping and maintaining Azure-centric data solutions for our New Zealand-based client. This role requires building robust ETL/ELT workflows, designing efficient data models, ensuring high performance, and supporting BI tools—all while maintaining best-in-class governance and security standards.

🧠 Core Responsibilities

• ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Architect and implement Azure Data Factory pipelines, ingestion and transformation workflows, and orchestration logic.

• Dimensional Modeling: Design star and snowflake schemas with transactional, snapshot, accumulating fact tables; implement SCD Types 1, 2, 3, 6.

• Performance Tuning: Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and resource configuration in Azure Synapse Analytics.

• Data Governance & Security: Enforce row/column-level security, implement data lineage, and ensure data quality best practices.

• DevOps & CI/CD: Build automated deployment pipelines using Git, IaC, and DevOps tools; apply automated testing strategies in data contexts.

• BI Integration: Enable seamless connectivity and troubleshooting for Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik Sense dashboards.

• Monitoring & Health: Track pipeline performance, data accuracy, and warehouse resource usage across multiple layers.

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years in data warehousing, ETL engineering, or SQL-focused roles.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, ADF, ADLS, and Azure SQL Database.

• Proficiency in SQL and dimensional modeling fundamentals.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices—CI/CD, Git workflows, and IaC.

• Superb English communication skills, capable of confident engagement with clients.
