Opening for Electrical Engineer with Trading Company at Mauritius

Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Director & Head of Finance the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

Key Responsibilities
• Programming of fire alarm systems
• Identify all technical aspects of electrical and fire alarm tenders
• Value-engineer of electrical and fire alarm designs
• Attend meetings with clients
• Liaise with local and overseas suppliers
• Prepare and price bill of quantities
• Prepare tender compliance sheets
• Managing & planning work for different teams of technicians
• Conduct site surveys and prepare material & labour breakdown

Other details:

• Experience: 3 years in fire alarm systems
• Education: BE in Electrical (mandatory)
• Age Limit: Up to 40 years
• Work Location: Mauritius, 50–60% at client site, Remaining time from office
• Team Handling: Will lead a team of technicians
• Pre-Medical Test: Cost covered by the company
• Air Tickets: One-way ticket provided after selection and at the time of exit
• Note: Yearly to-and-fro tickets to India are not provided
• Accommodation: Company provides stay for initial 2–3 months, after that, candidate has to manage on their own, Estimated rent near office (higher side): approx. 10,000 MUR/month
• Food Expenses: To be managed by candidate, Estimated cost (higher side): approx. 8,000 MUR/month
• Salary Range:  depending on experience and skills
• Deductions: Only tax as per policy; no other benefits
• Bonus: Performance-based bonus after 1 year of service
• Interview Process- 2 rounds of virtual interviews
• Working Days: Mon to Sat
• Working time: Mon to Fri- 7.45 am to 5 pm, Sat- 7.45- 12 pm
• Experience in programming Morley Fire Alarm panels will be an added advantage, as it is a product expected to be introduced soon in Mauritius. While not mandatory, candidates with this experience will be given preference during the interview process.
• A valid 4-wheeler Indian driving license is mandatory, as the candidate will be provided with transport for site visits.
