Design Engineer

Job Description:

Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our team and work on the design and development of Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The ideal candidate should have 2–4 years of hands-on experience in 3D modeling, drafting, and BOM creation using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD, along with a sound understanding of machine design principles and manufacturing feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop SPMs and custom automation equipment based on project requirements.

Create 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and detailed part drawings using SOLIDWORKS/AutoCAD.

Prepare and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, quality) to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure proper GD&T application.

Optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, and performance.

Revise designs based on feedback from fabrication and shop-floor teams.

Support prototyping, testing, and final validation activities.

Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

2–4 years of relevant experience in SPM or machine design.

Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD is a must.

Knowledge of machine elements, hydraulics/pneumatics, and material selection.

Strong understanding of GD&T and industrial drafting standards.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
