Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Management:Overseeing the daily operations of the tool room, including supervising staff, scheduling work, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Tool Maintenance and Repair:Ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained, repaired, and calibrated, and that preventative maintenance schedules are followed.

Inventory Management:Managing tool room inventory, including tracking tool usage, performing regular audits, and procuring new tools and equipment as needed.

Safety Compliance:Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols within the tool room to ensure a safe working environment.

Coordination and Communication:Collaborating with other departments, such as production and engineering, to fulfill tool requirements and resolve any issues.

Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of tool usage, repairs, and inventory levels.

Cost Control:Managing tool room resources and facilities with a focus on cost control and resource optimization.

Process Improvement:Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement within the tool room to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Training and Development:Providing training and guidance to tool room staff on proper tool usage, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Technical Expertise:Having a strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, tool maintenance techniques, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in tool room management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
