Business Development Manager

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Analysis & Strategy:

• Conduct in-depth research to track trends, competition, and opportunities.

• Understand customer procurement cycles and develop market entry/expansion strategies.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term growth objectives and strategic plans.

2. Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers in government and private defence/aerospace sectors, including PSUs, DRDO labs, and the armed forces.

• Serve as a primary client contact – understanding needs and offering tailored solutions.

• Negotiate contracts and strategic partnerships to maximize business potential.

3. Sales & Business Development:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets.

• Identify opportunities for product launches, regional expansion, and trade show participation.

• Work closely with internal teams (engineering, marketing, product development) to develop proposals, demos, and presentations.

4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track sales, market trends, and competition to support strategic decision-making.

• Prepare detailed reports and updates for senior management.

• Offer insights to enhance business development processes and strategies.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

• Demonstrated success in sales or BD roles within defence/aerospace electronics.

• Strong understanding of defence procurement processes, regulations, and standards.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Established network within defence and aerospace stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
