Job Title: Plant Manager

Experience:15 years

Location: Africa

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary: $3,000 - $4,000 per month.

Job Responsibilities:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire plant operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and cost optimization. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, implement best manufacturing practices, and ensure compliance with global standards.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B. Tech) or equivalent.
  2. Master’s degree (MBA/ ME/ M. Tech) is an added advantage.

Experience:

* 15-20 years of experience in PET & RGB bottling lines, preferably in the beverage industry.

* Strong background in production planning, maintenance, and process optimization.

* Age Range: 35-45 years.

* Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, TPM, and Lean principles.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

* Production & Operations Management

* Oversee PET and RGB bottling lines, ensuring smooth operations in filling, packaging, palletizing, and conveyors.

* Ensure maximum efficiency and minimum downtime through proactive maintenance.

* Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement initiatives.

* Manage and optimize raw material (RM) and packaging material (PM) yields.

* Maintenance & Engineering

* Implement a robust preventive and breakdown maintenance program.

* Plan and procure spare parts for machines and ensure timely replacements.

* Coordinate with local and international vendors for spare parts and service agreements.

* Manufacturing Excellence & Compliance

* Lead initiatives for 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement in plant operations.

* Ensure compliance with Coca-Cola’s quality standards, including AIB (American Institute of Baking) audits, FSSC 22000, EMS OHSAS, and food safety protocols.

* Validate and verify CCPs, PRPs, OPRPs, and HACCP plans.

* Data Management & Reporting

* Ensure accurate SAP data entry for production booking and reporting.

* Conduct performance presentations, breakdown analyses, and shift scheduling.

* Drive monthly and annual KPIs, focusing on productivity and efficiency.

* People & Process Management

* Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on employee engagement.

* Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and workplace hygiene standards.

* Train and develop plant personnel to maintain high operational standards.

Skills & System Proficiency

* Strong knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

* Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
