Job Description:

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and result-oriented Production Engineer with 3–7 years of
experience in the crane or heavy fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring timely execution of
fabrication and assembly, maintaining quality standards, and driving process improvements
to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
 Plan, coordinate, and execute fabrication and assembly operations as per production
schedules.
 Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery for efficient
operations.
 Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions for fabrication and mechanical
assembly of cranes.
 Monitor production output, productivity, and quality to meet daily and monthly
targets.
 Coordinate with design, quality, and procurement teams to resolve production-related
issues.
 Supervise shop floor activities, workforce, and subcontractors (if applicable).
 Identify bottlenecks, suggest process improvements, and implement lean
manufacturing practices.
 Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the shop
floor.
 Track and report production KPIs – downtime, cycle time, rework, rejection, etc.
 Maintain documentation related to production activities, reports, and shift handovers.
 Participate in audits and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
 Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
 3–7 years of relevant experience in production/fabrication/assembly in crane or heavy
equipment manufacturing.
 Strong knowledge of welding processes, structural fabrication, machining, and
mechanical assemblies.
 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and process sheets.
 Hands-on experience in managing a fabrication or assembly shop floor.
 Knowledge of production planning, inventory control and ERP systems is an
advantage.
 Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis tools
Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and team management skills.
 Good communication and documentation abilities.
