Job Description:
A CTL (Cut-to-Length) Operator is responsible for operating machinery that cuts metal coils or sheets into specific lengths, often in a steel service center environment. They ensure the accurate and efficient cutting of materials according to customer specifications while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Operating CTL machinery:Setting up, adjusting, and monitoring the performance of Cut-to-Length machines to ensure precise cuts.

Material Handling:Loading and unloading coils or sheets, and handling finished products, potentially including using forklifts or other warehouse equipment.

Quality Control:Inspecting raw materials and finished products for defects, ensuring they meet specified dimensions and tolerances.

Machine Maintenance:Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs, to keep equipment running smoothly.

Safety Compliance:Adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures to create a safe working environment.

Troubleshooting:Identifying and resolving issues with the machinery, potentially involving minor repairs or adjustments.
