Furnace Operation:Setting up, operating, and monitoring bell-type annealing furnaces, including controlling temperature, atmosphere, and cycle times.
-
Material Handling:Preparing and positioning materials within the furnace, often involving loading and unloading with the assistance of material handling equipment.
-
Quality Control:Regularly inspecting and testing the annealed material to ensure it meets specified hardness, microstructure, and other relevant properties.
-
Maintenance:Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues with the furnace and related equipment.
-
Safety Compliance:Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures related to furnace operation, material handling, and the use of protective atmospheres.

Typical Materials Annealed:
- Steel: Common in various forms like wire, coils, and other steel components.
- Aluminum: Used in various applications where annealing improves ductility and reduces hardness.
- Copper: Often annealed to improve its formability and conductivity.
Types of Bell Furnaces:
- Bell furnaces get their name from their bell-shaped outer container, which is lowered over a base containing the material to be annealed.
- They are versatile and can be used for various heat treatment processes, including annealing, stress relieving, and nitriding .
