Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities A.Credit evaluation of counterparty banks
- Credit evaluation of counterparty banks, recommending limits and ongoing monitoring of exposures. Obtain ratification from approval authorities for any excess.
- Insights from peer Bank analysis and influencing decisions
- Analysing requests from businesses for re-allocation or increase in limits putting up the same for approval after a thorough credit evaluation.
- Quarterly Analysis/Updates of Financial Results of Counterparty Banks to Senior Management
- On going surveillance of performance of banks and recommend actions
- Annual Counterparty Exposure Limit Review for Countries, Foreign Banks, Domestic Banks, Cooperative Banks, PDs, SDL, FIs
- Develop Counterparty Exposure Methodology B.Country risk exposure management
- Evaluation of country risks and recommend limits
- On going surveillance of country risk exposures and recommend actions
- Managing sanction country risk and ability to evaluate and analyse trade sanction restricted party screening results C. Modeling
- Develop and implement models for credit risk rating of Banks
- Develop and implement models for country risk analysis D. Stress testing
- Develop, Implement and Execute stress testing methodologies for Counterparty and Country risks E. Policies
- Responsible for developing policies related to counterparty credit risk, country risk and ongoing maintenance F. Automation
- Implement automation initiatives from better control and risk
- Reviewing existing processes, drafting requirement documents and participating in UATs
- Work with other functions to deliver on projects G.Regulatory reporting
- Timely and accurate submission of regulatory returns and internal MIS.
- Respond and clarify on internal, regulatory and statutory audit queries
- Creating, maintaining/upgrading databases of performance of Foreign Banks, Domestic Banks and Countries on a regular basis for regulatory reporting and risk analysis Responsible for various Counterparty Risk reports including FX Bank Exposure, Interbank Consolidated and Country Exposure reports. H. Undertake critical projects and ad-hoc risk requests as they arise• Education & Experience
- Professional Qualifications - CA or MBA preferred
- Upto 6-8 years of experience in areas of credit analysis of financial institutions
- Knowledge of the credit and lending industry, treasury products and operations
- Experience in counterparty credit risk modeling and quantification
- Knowledge of OFAC, Sanction regulations
- Technical expertise with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive a strategic agenda.
- Upto date knowledge of regulations affecting counterparty and country risk Skills
- Quantitative and analytical skills. Close attention to detail
- Programming experience such as SQL
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with colleagues at all levels
